Evija Roberts – a Paralegal at Isle of Man-based international law practice BridsonHalsall – has qualified as a Fellow of CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).
CILEX is a leading organisation which creates accessible opportunities to build careers in the legal profession. Evija, who joined BridsonHalsall in 2019, was awarded the Fellowship at a recent graduation ceremony held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London.
Evija said: “Having started my CILEX journey in 2008 with a full time job, taking a break due to personal reasons and starting again, I am delighted to finally call myself a Fellow and Chartered Legal Executive, and I am grateful to my colleagues for all their support.”
Evija’s specialist areas are wills and probate practice and she deals with a wide range of private client matters, including enduring powers of attorney, grants of probate and estate administration for clients based in the Isle of Man and internationally.
Since starting her career at BridsonHalsall, she has broadened her knowledge, skills and experience by working with advocates across the firm’s main practice areas. Evija is currently a key member of the immigration team and provides invaluable support to the Head of Immigration and Senior Advocate Maria Bridson. Maria congratulated Evija on qualifying as a Fellow of CILEX, and commented: “Evija has excellent knowledge and practical experience of making Isle of Man visa and nationality applications. Clients always appreciate her high professional standards and superb attention to detail.”
